As Production Designer of Tracy & Martina, I was tasked with set design, set dressing, prop design/creation, and graphic design as well as sourcing, purchasing and budgeting all items needed.

After gaining creative control on Season 2 of Tracy & Martina, I made each set and location more detailed. The editor commented on this and noticed how much fuller and more realistic the scenes felt compared to the first season.

The rabbit hole room was a set favourite! I loved how it turned out, and so did the cast and crew.

During this role, I worked with the director to achieve the desired "rustic Christmas" look on top of staying within a very tight budget.

Dressing the Red Shoe Restaurant was interesting because of the small size of the space, as well as the need to not leave any mark or trace of the production on the building. This includes the two 20'x20' blackout clothes I got to hang to cover the large bay windows.

Getting to work with Heather Rankin was a dream come true. It was a great experience getting to take the lead on the production design and getting to manage the team under me to meet the very tight time constraints we were under on the shooting days. It was a unique experience as I did not get to see the location before the shoot days, meaning the dressing had to be very adaptable.

Due to a back injury and the inability to sit or stand, I found a creative solution to allow me to continue creating. A value village projector and a custom-made cage allowed me to create images, project them, and then trace them onto reclaimed wood. Then using a wood-burning pen to create wood burn art for friends and family.

TESTIMONIALS

"Logan was a student of mine in the Screen Arts program at NSCC. Throughout the program he demonstrated passion, focus, reliability, and a strong and consistent work ethic. After graduation, I repeatedly hired Logan as an assistant on several film and television productions, as well as numerous renovation projects. The positive attributes that made him an exceptional student also made him an exceptional employee. Without reservation, I give my highest recommendation to hire Logan Tanner - you will be very glad you did."

Luke Merdsoy

Instructor / Production Designer

"Logan went above and beyond to make sure the details matched the tone and energy needed for the actors to feel they were in their characters bedroom, kitchen, local pizza shop- whatever was called for. He was on set at all times to assist with resets and at times creating additional or new pieces that were called for. His designs were so loved by the crew that two of them were used for wrap gifts! I am excited to see where Logan’s career will go and what he will create on his future productions."

Terri Lynn Kearsey

Production Coordinator/ 1st AD

"For the last 6 years I have known Logan Tanner I have been consistently impressed by his artistic talent, commitment to his work, and his drive to make it all happen. From classmates to coworkers, Logan has proven to be an asset on a wide range of projects. From graphic design and animation to props and set decoration, I have personally witnessed Logan manage an art department for an entire show with results that show for themselves. He is professional, reliable, and efficient. Above all else, Logan is not only talented but an excellent crew member to have by your side on the longest days in the worst conditions. I would never turn down an opportunity to have him on my crew and I greatly look forward to that day."

"Logan seems to just “get it”, no matter what the project. He has so many practical hard skills, but it’s his personality and creativity that really stand out."
